Introduction

Why am I doing this?

There are a few reasons;

First; the inspiration for FireManzo.com is FireJoeMorgan.com which is, pound for pound, the funniest blog I have ever come across. So if you're going to eternally link yourself to that site, you better be good. Damn good. And Fire Manzo Guy, you aren't good.

Second; I have never met Pete Manzo. I don't know Pete Manzo. What I do know about Pete Manzo is that he is a terrible blogger. To call him tepid would be too nice. I've probably read no more than 20 of his contributions to Barstool Sports, but I feel confident enough to say that that guy flat out can not blog. But I don't find him as loathsome as say, Joe Morgan, Bill Plaschke or Mike Celizic (RIP, Hat Guy). Those guys all write/wrote with a tone of arrogance, condescension, and ignorance. They were all highly paid and they all worked for the largest media outlets in the country. Easy targets, deserved targets. They were fish in a barrel for the FJM boys and I couldn't get enough of it. But Manzo? Sure, he's not good at his job. He's just the common man, half-assing it like the rest of us common men. So I just don't make a habit of reading him and my life goes on. I guess my second reason for starting this blog isn't really a reason. I'll just say, it's for Manzo and all the other well-intentioned people out there who can't help it if they just aren't good at what they do. Come to think of it, I'd say that Manzo's blogging career is an example of what is called, fittingly enough, The Peter Principle.

Third; Probably the same reason as the Fire Manzo Guy. Why not?
